A six-time convicted felon and a former resident of the Budget Inn in Bath was arrested by the Village of Bath Police Department in connection with fraudulent checks.
43-year-old Thomas Weinman is charged with one count of Possession of a Forged Instrument in the 1st Degree, a Class C felony. Police say the arrest stems from an ongoing investigation into the issuance of fraudulent checks.
He was processed and transported to the Steuben County Jail for arraignment and was later released.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
