On Wednesday, members of the Village of Bath Police Department arrested Miranda Neally, 27, following a traffic stop on West Morris Street.
Police initially stopped Neally at approximately 7:06 p.m. for an observed violation of the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law. During the subsequent investigation, Neally was allegedly found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine.
Neally was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree, a class A misdemeanor, and received a traffic citation. She was transported to the Bath Police Department for processing and was later released on an appearance ticket.
Neally is scheduled to appear in Bath Village Court at a later date to answer the charges.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
