On Thursday, Geno Thomas was arrested by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office following a search at his residence on Dove Street in the City of Geneva.
The arrest stems from a bench warrant issued by Wayne County Court on December 16, 2025. Authorities state the warrant was issued after Thomas failed to appear in court regarding original charges of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Second Degree, a class A-II felony.
Law enforcement executed a search warrant at the 16 Dove Street location, where Thomas was located and taken into custody. He was transported to the Wayne County Jail without incident and is scheduled to answer the charges at the Wayne County Courthouse.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office was assisted in the investigation and arrest by the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, Geneva Police Department, New York State Police, Wayne County District Attorney’s Office, and the Wayne County Tip Line.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
