On Monday, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Wolcott man following an investigation into a reported stabbing on Lake Avenue.
Deputies arrested 26-year-old John Leflore after he allegedly called 911 to report that a male had cut his stomach with a knife outside of his residence. Upon further investigation, deputies determined that the report made by Leflore was false.
Leflore was charged with one count of Falsely Reporting an Incident. He was processed and released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to answer the charge in Wolcott Village Court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
