On Saturday, Ontario County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a shoplifting complaint at the Target located within the Eastview Mall complex in the Town of Victor.
Deputies arrested Tacalla White, 52, of Rochester, after she was allegedly observed pushing a shopping cart filled with $431.99 worth of merchandise out of the store without rendering payment. Investigation revealed that White had been previously arrested at Market Place Mall in May 2013 and was subsequently banned from all Wilmorite Properties for life.
Due to the standing trespass order, White was charged with Burglary in the Third Degree and Petit Larceny. She was transported to the Ontario County Jail to await CAP arraignment.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
