A new art competition will help Auburn celebrate its abundance of crows.
As part of the city’s First Ever Crow Cawcus, Nash’s Framing & Art will hold the Holy Crow Art Competition.
All types of crow-themed art will be accepted, including painting, photography, baking, welding, and music. All art must be appropriate for all ages for consideration.
Work can be dropped off at Nash’s (12 State St) from now until February 21 at 2:30p. To really drive home the crow theme, entrants must yell “holy crow!” or use “crow speak” when dropping off their art.
Judging will be held at 3:30p on the 21st, with winners announced thereafter.
There will be two categories – chicks and crows. Officials told Finger Lakes Daily News that the categories are based on skill, not age, allowing seasoned artists and beginners alike to take part in the competition.
Anyone with questions is asked to contact Nash’s at 315-252-3451.
