Cayuga County Launches Final Strategic Plan Survey

SHARE NOW

As Cayuga County continues work on its Countywide Strategic Plan, residents are encouraged to share their thoughts in a new survey.

The Cayuga County Planning & Economic Development Department, which is spearheading the strategic plan initiative, has launched its fourth and final Strategic Plan Community Assessment Survey. This survey will focus on natural resources, including farmland preservation, water quality, open space protection, recreational assets, and broader environmental stewardship considerations.

The department will use input gathered from the survey to inform policies, planning priorities, and “balancing conservation objectives with sustainable economic growth.”

The survey is available online or at municipal offices throughout the county and the Planning & Economic Development office. It is designed to take only five minutes.

Previous surveys focused on such topics as public services, quality of life, and local identity.

The planning department has described the countywide strategic plan as “a collaborative initiative aimed at creating a unified, community-driven roadmap for Cayuga County’s future,” by supporting growth and preserving the county’s uniqueness.
