Auburn Woman Accused of Violating Order of Protection

SHARE NOW

A woman was arrested in Auburn after police say she violated a court-issued order of protection.

According to the Auburn Police Department, officers responded on Saturday to an address on Genesee Street while attempting to locate a suspect connected to a separate incident. When officers arrived, they located Kennedy Taylor at the residence and determined she was in violation of a full stay-away order of protection. Police say Taylor was found inside the same apartment as the protected party and was taken into custody without incident.

Taylor was transported to the Auburn Police Department headquarters, where she was processed before being taken to the Cayuga County Jail for arraignment.

She is charged with two counts of first-degree criminal contempt, both Class E felonies.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
