Schuyler County Man Gets Jail Time in Pennsylvania

SHARE NOW

A Schuyler County man has been sentenced to jail time after authorities say he was caught with stolen merchandise during a traffic stop last summer in Pennsylvania.

According to the Bradford County District Attorney’s Office, 47-year-old Jason Riley of Beaver Dams was sentenced to serve a minimum of four months to a maximum of 21 months at the Bradford County Correctional Facility. He was convicted of retail theft and conspiracy to commit retail theft, a third-degree felony.

Prosecutors said the charges stem from an incident last June, when Riley was pulled over by an officer with the Athens Township Police Department. During the stop, officers reportedly found him in possession of items that had been stolen from Lowe’s.

Riley was later charged and ultimately sentenced in Bradford County Court.
