Cayuga County Sheriff Brian Schenck reports that Andrew Wilson, of Auburn, was arrested on January 30 in the Town of Sennett.
Wilson faces charges of Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree, a misdemeanor, and Aggravated Family Offense, an E felony. The charges stem from an investigation that began in December 2025, after deputies say Wilson, while incarcerated at the Cayuga County Jail, contacted the protected party of a full stay-away Order of Protection.
Following his arrest, Wilson was arraigned in CAP Court and is currently being held at the Cayuga County Jail.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
