Fire & Ice Festival Returns to Downtown Canandaigua In February

SHARE NOW

Downtown Canandaigua is gearing up to host the annual Fire & Ice Winter Festival on Saturday, Feb. 21, and Sunday, Feb. 22, 2026, a signature mid-winter event designed to bring residents and visitors into the city’s shopping and dining district for a weekend of seasonal celebration and outdoor entertainment.

Organized by the Canandaigua Business Improvement District, the festival will feature a variety of attractions across South Main Street and the downtown core, including ice carving demonstrations and competitions, fire performances, food and beverage trails, family activities and opportunities to explore local businesses.

Widely recognized as a highlight of the winter calendar in the region, the Fire & Ice Winter Festival has drawn thousands of participants in past years with its blend of outdoor art, entertainment and community-oriented programming. In addition to carving competitions and fire shows, attendees can expect seasonal flavors from local chefs, warm beverage trails and interactive exhibits for all ages.

Organizers say the festival is not only a celebration of winter but also an opportunity to support downtown businesses and restaurants during a traditionally slower part of the year.
