Lyons Woman Arrested in Drug Investigation Near Elementary School

SHARE NOW

A Town of Lyons woman has been arrested following a months-long narcotics investigation near an elementary school, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff’s deputies say the investigation began after receiving information from the public about alleged drug dealing across the street from Lyons Elementary School.

Investigators executed a search warrant on October 1st at an apartment in the town. During the search, detectives reportedly found several tasers and a large quantity of narcotics inside the residence, where authorities say the suspect lived with several young children.

Lissanne Livingston was arrested Wednesday and charged with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, three counts of criminal possession of a weapon with a prior conviction, and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

Livingston was taken to the Wayne County Jail and was scheduled to appear for CAP arraignment Wednesday evening.

Authorities said additional charges are pending as the investigation continues.

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office said it was assisted by the New York State Police Violent Gangs and Narcotics Enforcement Team during the investigation.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
