A Wayne County man has been arrested for allegedly possessing and distributing child pornography, according to state police.
Troopers say the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received a CyberTipline report on October 6, 2025, about an upload of child pornography on September 23, 2024, leading to an investigation by state police. The investigation led to a search warrant being executed at William Bond’s Palmyra residence on January 23, seizing multiple electronic devices.
An examination of the devices at the New York State Police Computer Crime Laboratory turned up child porn on several devices, police said.
The 34-year-old was arrested on January 31 and charged with one count each of Promoting a Sexual Performance by a Child Less Than 17 Years of Age and Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child Less Than 16 Years of Age, both felonies.
Following his arrest, Bond was processed at Lyons State Police Barracks and taken to the Wayne County Jail for arraignment.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
