The Village of Bath Police Department responded to a report of an active disturbance on Geneva Street, where a male individual was refusing to leave the property.
Upon arrival, officers discovered that both parties involved, identified as 33-year-old Jamie Gould and 28-year-old Clorissa Ribble, were subject to active stay-away orders of protection against each other. Further investigation determined that each had violated the orders of protection.
Both individuals were taken into custody and charged with Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree, a Class A misdemeanor. They were processed and transported to Steuben County Jail for arraignment before being released.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
