Help is now available for Cayuga County residents filing their taxes.
United Way of Cayuga County’s Creating Assets Savings and Hope (CA$H) program is now open. The program offers free tax preparation and filing for income-eligible county residents.
Speaking on FLX Morning, United Way Executive Director Lisa Kaminski said the nonprofit is happy to once again be able to offer this valuable service.
“We’re very happy to have that program up and running to help residents of Cayuga County with their taxes… We’re helping them to make sure they get all of their refunds or credits back into their accounts.”
The program, headquartered at Cayuga Community College, is by appointment only. To schedule an appointment, applicants are asked to call 315-294-8797 and leave a voicemail with their name and contact information. An IRS-certified volunteer will return the call within two weeks to schedule an appointment.
