UPDATE: State Route 245 Reopened Following Tractor-Trailer Accident

3:45 P.M. UPDATE:  The Yates County Sheriff’s Office reports State Route 245 between Loomis and Bagley roads is now open to all traffic.   We will continue to update this story as more information is made available by law enforcement regarding the accident.

State Route 245 between Loomis and Bagley roads in Rushville is shut down at this time after a tractor-trailer hauling hay overturned.

The accident happened at around 10:10 a.m., with the tractor-trailer ending up on its side and reportedly leaking fuel. The driver was able to get out of the cab.

Rushville and Middlesex firefighters, along with the Yates County Sheriff’s Office is on scene.
