A Farmington man was arrested by Canandaigua Police following an alleged violation of an order of protection.
Police say officers responded to a report of an order of protection violation around 6:20 p.m. on January 19. After an investigation, 30-year-old Austin Beseler was arrested and charged with Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree.
Authorities say Beseler contacted a protected party in violation of a stay-away order of protection.
He was taken into custody and transported to the Ontario County Jail for arraignment.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
