SHARE NOW

A Canandaigua man was arrested following a reported disturbance on South Main Street, according to the Canandaigua Police Department.

Police say officers responded to the area around 9:00 p.m. on January 21 for a disturbance complaint. After an investigation, 27-year-old Dayquan Harris was arrested and charged with Harassment in the Second Degree.

Authorities say Harris allegedly threatened to physically harm the responding officers during the incident.

He was taken into custody and later released on an appearance ticket. Harris is scheduled to appear in City of Canandaigua Court at a later date.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
