The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of a Town of Lyons man in connection with a petit larceny case.
Deputies say 27-year-old Joseph Gonzalez is accused of stealing $11.47 worth of consumable goods from the Kwik Fill in Lyons. The incident reportedly occurred around 6 a.m. on January 13.
Gonzalez was taken into custody and issued an appearance ticket. He is scheduled to answer the charge at a later date in Lyons Town Court.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
