A Geneva man was taken into custody Saturday on an outstanding warrant out of Phelps Town Court.
Police say a Geneva officer made contact with 39-year-old Nicholas Bryant on Saturday and discovered he had an active arrest warrant for animal abandonment. Bryant was transported to the Ontario County Jail, where he was turned over to Ontario County deputies.
He is being held pending centralized arraignment processing and is scheduled to appear in Phelps Town Court at a later date to answer the charge.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
