A local music nonprofit supporting music education is once again up for a Syracuse Area Music Award, also known as a SAMMY.
Perform 4 Purpose has announced it has been nominated for a People’s Choice Award in the Local Academic or Musical Organization category.
Currently in the second round of voting, voters can cast one vote per day, with the second round ending on Sunday. Voting can be done here.
Founded in 2011, Perform 4 Purpose provides tuition-free music instruction, workshops, and performances throughout the year for local youth in Cayuga and neighboring counties.
Perform 4 Purpose is no stranger to the annual awards, having won its first SAMMY in 2024. The group was once again nominated in 2025.
