A Walworth woman was arrested for aggravated driving while intoxicated following a property damage crash, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports.
Deputies say 65-year-old Alison Johnson of Walworth was investigated after a motor vehicle collision that caused property damage but no injuries. Johnson reportedly failed standardized field sobriety tests and later submitted to a chemical breath test that showed a blood-alcohol content of 0.21%.
She has been charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated and unsafe passing. Johnson was processed and released on traffic tickets and is scheduled to appear in Walworth Town Court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
