New York State Police say a woman who had been reported missing has been located and is in good health.
Authorities on Friday announced that 30-year-old Allison Burgos was found after police requested the public’s assistance earlier this week. No further details about where or how she was located were released.
Burgos had last been in contact with her family on December 4. State Police issued a missing person alert on Wednesday, noting she was last seen by a witness on December 6 on Ogle Road in the town of DeWitt and was known to frequent the Syracuse area.
At the time she was reported missing, police said Burgos was homeless and did not have a vehicle or a cell phone. Troopers had checked hospitals, hotels, and homeless shelters during the search but initially found no leads.
State Police thanked the public for their assistance in helping locate Burgos.
