An Elmira man is listed in critical condition after being shot.
Just after 9 Sunday night, police responded to the Centertown Parking Garage in Elmira for a report of a possible shooting. When officers arrived, they found 46-year-old Joshua Tappan suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to an undisclosed hospital and, as of Tuesday afternoon, was listed in critical condition.
There is no suspect in custody, and the Elmira Police Department says it is actively investigating. Anyone with information is asked to call Elmira Police at (607) 737-5626 or leave a message on the anonymous tip line at (607) 271-HALT.
