Members of the City of Geneva Police Department arrested a Rochester man Monday evening following a narcotics investigation.
Police say the department’s Detective Bureau arrested Shimal Slade Monday night on a charge of criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree. Investigators say Slade was identified as selling narcotics from a residence on Genesee Street following several weeks of investigation. Police say Slade attempted to flee and resisted officers while being taken into custody, but was ultimately detained without further incident.
Slade was processed at the Geneva Police Department and transported to the Ontario County Jail for arraignment.
Police say additional charges are pending.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
