Michael John has been sworn in as a Fire Commissioner for the Geneva Fire Department following his election by the Nester Hose Company. The oath of office was administered on Thursday at City Hall by Geneva City Clerk Nicole Tillotson.
City officials and members of the fire department praised John for his dedication and service to the department and the City of Geneva.
“We’re grateful for Michael’s dedication to our department and the City of Geneva, and we look forward to his leadership and continued service,” the department said in a statement.
John’s term as Fire Commissioner begins immediately.
