The Keuka College Department of Athletics has announced the hiring of Liv Newhouse as the new Athletic Trainer for the Wolves.

Newhouse joins Keuka College after a five-month stint in Germany, where she worked with teenage American soccer athletes traveling overseas. Prior to that, she spent the summer with the Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps in Madison, Wisconsin, a world-class competitive performing arts team. While with the Scouts, she rewrote policies and implemented new techniques for one of the country’s top junior drum and bugle ensembles.

“I am beyond excited to join Keuka College as an athletic trainer,” said Newhouse. “I can’t wait to be part of an incredible community that prioritizes the health, success, and total well-being of its student-athletes!”

A graduate of Marshall University in West Virginia, Newhouse participated in multiple Division I programs for the Thundering Herd. She worked with the volleyball, football, cheerleading, tennis, cross country, and track and field squads during her undergraduate and graduate studies.

Newhouse served as president of the Marshall University Athletic Training Association and was named the 2025 Student of the Year by the West Virginia Athletic Training Association. She has had multiple research projects published in Clinical Practice in Athletic Training and presented her work at several symposiums. She graduated cum laude with her bachelor’s degree in 2024 and earned a master’s in Athletic Training in May 2025 with a perfect 4.0 GPA.

“We are excited to welcome Liv to our team,” said Assistant Director of Athletics for Sports Medicine Geena Flickner. “Her energy, drive, and passion for the Division III model are qualities our student-athletes will naturally gravitate toward. And her commitment to continual learning will further strengthen the work we do in the Keuka College Sports Medicine Department.”
