A King Ferry man has been arrested following an investigation into a missing juvenile reported last month in the Village of Wolcott, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies arrested 19-year-old Calvin White on Tuesday on a charge of second-degree obstructing governmental administration. The charge stems from a Dec. 2nd missing juvenile report.
Investigators said the juvenile was believed to be in the area of a residence where White claimed to live. During the investigation, deputies determined White intentionally withheld crucial information and provided false statements, which prevented them from locating the juvenile.
Authorities later discovered the juvenile was inside the apartment White claimed he resided in and that White had full knowledge of her location, the sheriff’s office said.
The juvenile was located safely and immediately turned over to her parents.
White was processed at the Wayne County Jail and issued an appearance ticket. He is scheduled to return to Wolcott Village Court on Feb. 5, 2026.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
