Ontario County deputies arrested a Manchester man Saturday night after responding to reports of an intoxicated individual allegedly entering a residence illegally.
Authorities say 22-year-old Jared Schumacher was taken into custody Jan. 3 around 9 p.m. on Shortsville Road in the Town of Manchester. Schumacher is accused of illegally entering a residence and violating an active order of protection.
Following an investigation, Schumacher was charged with criminal trespass in the second degree, criminal mischief in the third degree, burglary in the second degree, and criminal contempt in the second degree. He was transported to the Ontario County Jail to await arraignment.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
