Deputies Investigating after Truck Hits Utility Pole in Sodus

One person was injured after a pickup truck struck a utility pole in Wayne County on Tuesday.

According to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the 5000 block of State Route 14 in the Town of Sodus, where 38-year-old Katiria Chavez Paxtor told them she lost control of her vehicle and struck the pole.

Chavez Paxtor was taken to Newark-Wayne Community Hospital for left arm pain, the sheriff’s office said, adding that her passenger was reportedly uninjured.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

Deputies were assisted at the scene by the Wallington and Alton Fire Departments and Wayne County EMS.
