A two-vehicle crash briefly shut down a portion of River Road in Seneca Falls Friday afternoon, though no serious injuries were reported.
Emergency crews were called to the area of River Road near Bauer Road around 3:30 p.m. for a reported head-on collision, according to the Seneca Falls Fire Department.
Units from the Seneca Falls Police Department, Seneca Falls Fire Department and North Seneca Ambulance responded to the scene. Fire officials said the crash resulted in checkovers only, with no serious injuries reported.
River Road was temporarily closed at the connector bridge and at Bauer Road due to weather conditions and a vehicle blocking the roadway. North Seneca Ambulance evaluated the occupants involved in the crash.
Firefighters handled traffic control and cleared debris from the road, while both vehicles were removed.
The scene was cleared in about 40 minutes, and the roadway reopened shortly after cleanup was completed.
