A Lyons man is facing multiple felony charges following a drug investigation that led to the seizure of crack cocaine and several illegal firearms, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
After receiving tips that a home on Church Street was being used as a drug supply location, investigators executed search warrants at multiple residences in the Town of Lyons, focusing on properties on Church Street and Water Street.
38-year-old Antwan Terry was arrested during the search of a residence on Water Street. Deputies recovered more than an ounce of crack cocaine along with three handguns, authorities said. One of the firearms had been reported stolen and two others had defaced serial numbers.
Prosecutors charged Terry with multiple offenses, including criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree for possessing more than a half-ounce, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree with intent to sell, criminal possession of a weapon with a prior conviction, criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree for defaced firearms, criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, and criminal possession of stolen property.
Terry was transported to the Wayne County Jail for arraignment in CAP Court. Authorities said he remains held pending a future appearance in Lyons Town Court.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office said the investigation was assisted by residents of Lyons, New York State Police, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, the Geneva Police Department, and the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
