Lyons Man Arrested On Two Trespassing Warrants

SHARE NOW

A Lyons man was arrested on two outstanding warrants this week after failing to appear in court on separate trespassing charges, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said they arrested 55-year-old Wayne Demay after 1 p.m. Friday in Lyons on two arrest warrants stemming from missed court appearances. Authorities said the warrants were issued after Demay failed to appear in court following two separate trespassing incidents reported Oct. 7 of this year.

Demay, who lives on Franklin Street in the Town of Lyons, was taken into custody by deputies and transported to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office for processing.

He was later taken to the Wayne County Jail, where he was held pending arraignment. No additional details about the underlying trespassing incidents were released.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
