A woman was charged with aggravated harassment after deputies investigated a report of threats made against staff at a business in the Town of Jerusalem.
Yates County Sheriff’s Deputies say they responded to the business around 12:30 p.m. on December 19 following a report that a woman was threatening employees. Investigators allege that 41-year-old Crystal Folami made threatening phone calls to staff and later arrived at the business and continued making threats in person. Folami was stopped by Penn Yan Police in the Village of Penn Yan and turned over to Yates County Sheriff’s deputies. She was charged with aggravated harassment in the second degree and harassment in the second degree.
Folami was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Jerusalem Town Court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
