SHARE NOW

Ithaca Police say officers recovered multiple stolen items while executing a search warrant in connection with several active theft investigations.

Police say members of the Ithaca Police Department responded to the 100 block of East Green Street around 7:15 a.m. on Christmas Eve to serve a search warrant at a multi-unit apartment building. During the search, investigators recovered numerous items that had previously been reported stolen. Police say they are working to identify and contact the owners of the recovered property. No arrests have been made at this time, but authorities say criminal charges are expected.

Police are reminding residents to report suspected package thefts so they can be properly documented and investigated. They also advise against leaving packages unattended or unsecured for extended periods of time.

Anyone with information related to the investigation is encouraged to contact the Ithaca Police Department. Tips can be provided anonymously.
