A Seneca Falls man was arrested on driving while intoxicated charges after police responded to a complaint about a stolen food delivery on Christmas Eve.
The Town of Seneca Falls Police Department says officers arrested 33-year-old Jonathan Tohafjian around 7 p.m. Police were initially dispatched after Tohafjian reported that someone had stolen a DoorDash order. During the course of the investigation, officers determined that Tohafjian had been operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.
He was charged with driving while intoxicated and driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or higher, both misdemeanors.
Tohafjian was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to return to Seneca Falls Town Court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
