A Macedon woman has following an investigation into a reported disturbance in the village of Lyons.
State Police say 40-year-old Rebecca Plyter was taken into custody after troopers responded to a disturbance on Water Street on Monday. According to investigators, the incident stemmed from a confrontation involving a motor vehicle. During that confrontation, Plyter allegedly approached another individual while operating a battery-powered saw, causing the victim to fear serious physical injury.
Following the investigation, Plyter was arrested and charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, second-degree menacing, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and unsafe backing of a vehicle.
Plyter was processed at State Police in Lyons and transported to the Wayne County Jail for Centralized Arraignment Part proceedings.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
