Police Investigating Early-Morning Disturbance in Macedon

Macedon police are continuing to investigate a disturbance that prompted a large law enforcement response early Wednesday morning.

The Macedon Police Department says officers were called to the area of Quaker and Walworth roads around 7 a.m. after a 911 caller reported that someone was shooting at them while they were on the phone with dispatch.

Police say that after responding to the scene and conducting a thorough investigation, it was determined that the incident was isolated and did not pose a threat to the surrounding community.

Authorities report no injuries resulted from the incident. All individuals involved were located and interviewed.

The investigation remains ongoing and is being handled by the Macedon Police Department with assistance from the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and the Wayne County District Attorney’s Office.

Macedon police thanked the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, New York State Police, the DEC, and the Palmyra Police Department for their assistance at the scene.
