Thursday night was Auburn City Councilor Ginny Kent’s last city council meeting. She is retiring at the end of the year. City Clerk Chuck Mason said Kent was honored for her long career in public service.
“She had several terms on the school board prior to becoming a city councilor,” said Mason on Friday morning’s FLX Local News on Finger Lakes News Radio. “She’s done a really phenomenal job for us as city councilor, and she’s been our representative on the Owasco Lake Watershed Management Council. She’s been involved with the Chamber of Commerce and the Leadership Cayuga Program, where she was the director of that for many, many years.”
You can watch Thursday night’s meeting to see those who spoke to thank Councilor Kent for her service.
Thursday’s meeting was the final meeting of the year for the City Council. There will be no meeting next week due to Christmas. The next meeting is scheduled for New Year’s Day.
