Penn Yan Manor has earned a prestigious honor as one of New York State’s top-performing nursing homes. The recognition comes from the New York State Nursing Home Quality Initiative, an annual evaluation program that measures the quality and performance of Medicaid-certified nursing facilities across the state.
The Initiative scores facilities based on quality of care, compliance, efficiency, and results from health inspections. Facilities are then ranked into quintiles, with the first quintile representing the highest-performing homes. Those that achieve top quintile status for three consecutive years are recognized as top-performing nursing homes.
For 2024, Penn Yan Manor is among just 33 facilities statewide to earn this distinction, highlighting the facility’s ongoing commitment to providing high-quality care for its residents.
State officials say the recognition reflects consistent excellence in resident care, operational efficiency, and adherence to health and safety standards.
