Two women were taken into custody by the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office following an investigation into a larceny incident that happened at the TJ Maxx in Victor.
An investigation revealed that 30-year-olds Marjorie Wellington and Destiny Thompson worked together to select merchandise valued at $382 from the store and pass all points of sale without payment.
Wellington and Thompson were issued appearance tickets for Petit Larceny and Conspiracy and will appear at Victor Town Court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
