A Williamson man was arrested by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office Saturday following an investigation into a burglary at the local Dollar General.
After responding to an alarm activation at the store, deputies discovered 52-year-old Travis Breedlove. Upon arrival, Breedlove fled on foot into a nearby wooded area before deputies were able to apprehend him a short distance away.
An investigation determined Breedlove had stolen several packs of cigarettes from the store. He was charged with burglary and criminal mischief in the third degree, as well as a misdemeanor for petit larceny.
Breedlove was processed and brought to CAPS Court for arraignment.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
