The name of the 22-year-old driver, Asa Uribe of Red Creek, was released by New York State Police. Uribe was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
State Police have not yet released additional information regarding the cause of the crash.
State Police are investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash that occurred Wednesday afternoon in the town of Victory.
Troopers were called to the scene around 12:33 p.m., after a vehicle traveling eastbound on State Route 104 entered a curve, lost control, and crossed into oncoming traffic. The car struck a westbound vehicle, and the 22-year-old male driver of the eastbound vehicle, its only occupant, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The westbound vehicle was driven by 52-year-old Aric Lewis of Grayson, Kentucky. His passenger, 51-year-old Tonya Lewis, also from Grayson, was in the vehicle at the time. Both were evaluated by EMS on scene.
The name of the victim has not been released at this time.
State Police say the investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
