The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Lyons man on charges of promoting prison contraband in the second degree.
Deputies say 46-year-old Brian Lazzar was taken into custody following an investigation at the Wayne County Jail. Authorities allege that on October 30, Lazzar attempted to bring contraband from the on-site medical facility to his cell.
Lazzar was fingerprinted and photographed at the jail and is scheduled to appear for arraignment on December 16, 2025, at 8:30 a.m. in the Town of Lyons Court.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
