The New York State Police have released the name of the woman killed in a wrong-way crash last week on State Route 104 in Rochester.
Troopers say 35-year-old Paulette Dean of Rochester died after her vehicle, a 2025 Nissan Altima, was traveling west in the eastbound lanes around 8:18 a.m. on Thursday, November 27. Dean’s car collided head-on with a 2022 Mazda CX-30 driven by a 32-year-old Rochester man.
State Police say Dean was not wearing a seatbelt and suffered fatal injuries. She was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Krause was also taken to Strong with non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash occurred near the Route 104 bridge underpass between Lake Avenue and St. Paul Street. The road was closed for several hours while the State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit and other investigators processed the scene.
The investigation is still ongoing.
