The Moravia Central School District Board of Education is inviting the community to take part in a survey aimed at identifying the district’s strengths as well as challenges it must address.
The Voices of Moravia: Strengths, Challenges & Hopes Survey is open to parents, staff, students, and community members to share their thoughts through an online survey. The Board of Education added that the survey will directly inform its work as it prepares for interviews with superintendent candidates, saying in a statement, “Every voice matters, and your participation will help ensure that the next superintendent reflects the hopes and needs of the Moravia community.”
The survey is open now through December 16 and can be found here.
The board had previously launched a survey seeking information on what qualities district members felt an ideal superintendent should possess, with the findings indicating the next superintendent should be “a visible, student-centered superintendent who inspires confidence” and “a leader who communicates with clarity and leads with integrity, compassion, and purpose.”
The board hopes to appoint a new superintendent by April with a start date of July 1.
