An Elmira woman reported missing over the weekend has been found safe, according to the Elmira Police Department.
Police say 64-year-old Vikki Gullo was last seen around 3 p.m. on November 29. Her vehicle was later discovered on South Hoffman Avenue with all of her belongings inside, prompting concern for her well-being.
On November 30, more than 20 hours after she was last seen, officers located Gullo in the basement of a vacant home on Decker Avenue. Police were initially called to the property after a neighbor reported an open door. Inside, officers found Gullo responsive.
She was taken to the hospital for evaluation. Police say Gullo has a medical condition, though the specifics are not yet known.
The Elmira Police Department has not released further details at this time.
