A Canandaigua man was taken into custody Monday evening following an investigation into a reported altercation at a home on Woodland Park Circle.
According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to 1005 Woodland Park Circle around 7 p.m. on November 24, where they determined that 39-year-old William Alger had physically menaced another person during a verbal argument. The incident occurred in the presence of two children.
Alger was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and third-degree menacing. He was taken to the Ontario County Jail to await CAP arraignment and is scheduled to appear in Canandaigua Town Court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
