Man Who Murdered Wayne County Teen, Infant in 1990 Granted Release

SHARE NOW

A Wayne County man serving life for a brutal double murder in 1990, including an infant victim, will be released from prison as early as March.

Chad Campbell has been in state custody since 1996 and was repeatedly denied parole over his lack of remorse. He’s currently at Woodbourne Correctional Facility, but the state Board of Parole ruled it will clear him for release by March 12th.

Campbell was just 14 when he raped and stabbed his classmate, Cindy Lewis. He also murdered 17-month-old Curtis Rizzo, whom Lewis was babysitting in Palmyra. The now 50-year-old was convicted of two counts of second-degree murder and sentenced to 18 years to life.
