Police arrested a Seneca Falls man on Saturday following an investigation into a reported theft at the Walmart store in Geneva.
According to the Seneca Falls Police Department, officers located a vehicle matching the description of the suspect’s vehicle and found the stolen merchandise inside. The investigation determined that 67-year-old Andrew Teneyck of Seneca Falls had operated the vehicle during the theft and was in possession of the stolen items while in Seneca Falls.
Teneyck was charged with fifth-degree possession of stolen property. He was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Seneca Falls Town Court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
